“I focus on finding root causes, exploring origins, and working together for lasting solutions to achieve true health and healing.”

About Alison

Dr. Alison O’Brien-Moran, ND is a registered naturopathic doctor who has been providing naturopathic services to both individuals and families for over two decades in Toronto.  She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2002, is board certified through the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy Naturopathy and is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Beginning in November, she will be adding psychotherapy services as a Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying.

“My approach to physical and mental health and wellness is to identify the root cause, explore the origins, and work together to find lasting solutions.

Sometimes the source of health problems presents very obviously, but my experience is that oftentimes, identifying what is truly the root cause of a patient’s symptoms/ health conditions means digging below the surface and finding what’s been missed. Identifying and addressing that imbalance is what brings about true healing and health.  My philosophy is that everyone benefits from having as fully rounded a health care team as possible, and everyone usually does best with a multi-disciplined approach to their healthcare.”

Common reasons people present, and some of the areas I work in:

  • Digestive complaints (gas, bloating, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis)
  • Hormonal imbalances (PMS, perimenopause, menopause)
  • Fertility (pregnancy prep, infertility, naturopathic care during pregnancy)
  • Allergies including food sensitivity testing

A first session is a conversation. You talk about what brings you in, the therapist explains how they work, and together you decide whether it’s the right fit.

Your message goes to Alison directly. Please don’t include sensitive health details; a short note about what you’re looking for is enough.

Therapy is not crisis care. In crisis, call or text 9-8-8 any time; for emergencies, call 911.
